Australia: 2015 Asian Cup Champions

If ever there was a strong case for more government funding for major football tournaments and the game itself, it was made last night by those 23 warriors dressed in gold who delivered Australia its first major men's football trophy in emphatic fashion against a worthy opponent and in a manner in which the whole nation can feel immensely proud.

1. Congratulations to Ange Postecoglou and the Socceroos players. They did what was asked and in a manner Australia is justifiably proud of.

Korea Republic brought something extra out of the team, which is what finals are about. If we could be guaranteed the win, we would have voted for extra time because it is in the expenditure of every resource, the straining of every sinew that great achievements are forged. From the goal-saving tackles by 'Prince Massimo' in the first half and Matt Spiranovic late in the game, to the beautiful turn by Tomi, the match ebbed and flowed as only epic football matches can, and Australia was a match for the moment.

Well done. Your place in history is assured, everyone who contributed;
2. We have long argued the national team does not belong to the players, but the country and that they must represent the nation well. Two things stand out in this regard. First, the Socceroos played in that most emblematic of Australian ways, hard but fair. At the same time as imposing themselves physically against a superb Korean team, they also took the time to shake hands, to pick the opponents up off the ground and to demonstrate how it is that we play sport. Captain Mile Jedinak gets special mention here. Tough, but sporting.
Second, to see the team pouring forward at 2-1 in front late in extra time is what Australia wants. In fact, Korea lost the game when it sat back in the first part of extra time, having got the tieing goal.
3. On this, hopefully the argument is now settled for good. Many have argued we could not attack. We were too old, not good enough, blah, blah, blah. We always could, we have, and the trophy stands as testament to what can be achieved. After ten years of debates and fights on the issue, let us never step backwards again. Only in approaching the game in a consistent and representative way can we continue to be tested, to learn, develop, improve and reach the holy grail;
4. Further, the last year should also put to rest the debate on results, at both senior and youth level. Yes, we love to win, but all our national youth teams are learning to play and the benefits of this will be long lasting. Like the Socceroos, the short-term pain will see long-term gain. Every coach must be accountable for the performances and development of the team, but the fixation on only results should be behind us, thank god;
5. Also, plenty have resisted a National Curriculum, understandably since Aussies don’t like to be told anything about sport, but we just won the Asian Cup with the Curriculum. High pressing, winning ball back as quickly as possible, effective possession of the ball (meaning playing forward where possible), the 1-4-3-3 system of play. It’s all there. Hopefully, arguments are now at an end and we can move on to improving the national plan with everyone on board. There is a massive amount of work to do. Without complete integration from top to bottom, we beat ourselves before we begin.

6. I have already congratulated Football Federation Australia for the vision to bid for the event, and a special thankyou to Julia and the Gillard Government for support of the Asian Cup. Kevin Rudd supported the World Cup bid, another bold decision that deserves credit and, at a time when football was under the pump from other sports with intense, internal lobbying to cut off the funding streams, Julia committed to this tournament, as did state governments. Time moves quickly, and people forget, but thanks to you and Kevin;
7. I speak for no one but myself, however, as a former Socceroos player I am fairly certain that I can say there are more than 500 of my brothers standing side by side to congratulate today's team. Each generation wants the next to go further, and all fought tooth and nail for the game. To see Prince Massimo, Timmy Cahill who, fittingly, passed the baton on departure, and the rest on the podium will have been an emotional moment for everyone who has worn the nation's shirt;
8. It is great to see the blanket coverage across Australian media this morning and, with respect to Australian Open tennis champion Serena Williams, it is ideal that this achievement occurred on its own so that the moment can be properly experienced. Having appeared throughout the tournament on Channel 9, with the blessing of SBS, it is wonderful to see the genuine joy and pride that the crew and on air staff felt as general sports fans. Step by step, Australia has come to know the incredible emotional ride that football delivers and why it is the most loved sport around the world. Like Uruguay in 2005, this game tested everyone to their limit and more and more Aussies will support, attend and play the game as a result;
9. Importantly, our message to those that loved last night is that there's plenty more where that came from. The A-League is back this weekend, so adopt your local team and join the party. It will take you places you have never been;
10. As we celebrate, be sure to immediately lift your eyes again because the never-ending journey goes on. This is just one stop on the stairway to football heaven. It is necessary to conquer Asia to prove ourselves and have any chance of progressing long-term, since Asia's performances in World Cups is still problematic. Next we need to take steps forward on the global stage. It is fabulous to see the optimism from the whole country this morning, and long may it last, but this game is like none other. Winning the Asian Cup does not mean winning the World Cup. With respect, this is not rugby union or cricket, it is the world's largest and most competitive sport. This is why the ultimate goal is so worthy, the last great sporting frontier for Australia, because it is the greatest challenge we have ever faced. We will win in this half century, I reckon in twenty years, 2034 or 2038;
11. As for now, this win is a challenge to the Abbott Government. Gents, there is nothing that can add value to National identity or international branding like football and our requests and need for funding other major tournaments or parts of the game itself cannot be measured against other sports. We have the most participants, the biggest challenges and the most to offer this country. This Asian Cup has shown you that. We can accelerate progress with more funding as part of a National plan to be world champion, but it will take a visionary politician to bring it to life;
12. To all those in the stadium, thankyou. Like in '05, you helped enormously.
What's most important is that we are quickly building a culture where, certainly in these big moments, the fans know they are there to assist. This is becoming an incredibly difficult country to play in for any opponent. Let this continue to grow. When we play, we play as 23 million people, and that will become more critical as the scale of the matches grows.
13. Lastly, please consider for a moment what it will be like to contest a World Cup final. If last night was merely a Continental Final and '05 nothing more than a qualifier! This is important because, when football needs support from the Government, or in the media, you can help. Australia has never experienced anything like what is ahead of us at future World Cups and it will be a wonderful journey to find out together, as a nation.

Wrecking Ball

We clawed, we chained our hearts in vain
We jumped never asking why
We kissed, I fell under your spell.
A love no one could deny

Don't you ever say I just walked away
I will always want you
I can't live a lie, running for my life
I will always want you

I came in like a wrecking ball
I never hit so hard in love
All I wanted was to break your walls
All you ever did was wreck me
Yeah, you, you wreck me

I put you high up in the sky
And now, you're not coming down
It slowly turned, you let me burn
And now, we're ashes on the ground

Don't you ever say I just walked away
I will always want you
I can't live a lie, running for my life
I will always want you

I came in like a wrecking ball
I never hit so hard in love
All I wanted was to break your walls
All you ever did was wreck me

I came in like a wrecking ball
Yeah, I just closed my eyes and swung
Left me crashing in a blazing fall
All you ever did was wreck me
Yeah, you, you wreck me

I never meant to start a war
I just wanted you to let me in
And instead of using force
I guess I should've let you win
I never meant to start a war
I just wanted you to let me in
I guess I should've let you win

Don't you ever say I just walked away
I will always want you

I came in like a wrecking ball
I never hit so hard in love
All I wanted was to break your walls
All you ever did was wreck me

I came in like a wrecking ball
Yeah, I just closed my eyes and swung
Left me crashing in a blazing fall
All you ever did was wreck me
Yeah, you, you wreck me
Yeah, you, you wreck me!

Mystery Of Being

In the mystery of being
Sometimes when it's not so easy seeing
Where you're going, what will be tomorrow
Wondering about the path to follow

In the darkness we bump into each other
And it's hard for me to call you brother
In my heart the questions are burning
Someone said the journey is the learning

If I could shine a light on where I'm going
If I could shine a light on what I'm doing
If I could find the love that might be freeing
In this mystery of being

In the mystery of living
Seems to me there's such a joy in giving
Without sadness how could there be elation
Feel my life is down to my creation

If I could shine a light on where I'm going
If I could shine a light on what I'm doing
If I could find the love that might be freeing
In this mystery of being...

I Think We're Alone Now...

Children behave
That's what they say when we're together
And watch how you play
They don't understand
And so we're

Running just as fast as we can
Holdin' on to one another's hand
Tryin' to get away into the night
And then you put your arms around me
And we tumble to the ground
And then you say

I think we're alone now
There doesn't seem to be anyone around
I think we're alone now
The beating of our hearts is the only sound

Look at the way
We gotta hide what we're doin'
'cause what would they say
If they ever knew
And so we're

Running just as fast as we can
Holdin' on to one another's hand
Tryin' to get away into the night
And then you put your arms around me
And we tumble to the ground
And then you say

I think we're alone now
There doesn't seem to be anyone around
I think we're alone now
The beating of our hearts is the only sound

Running just as fast as we can
Holdin' on to one another's hand
Tryin' to get away into the night
And then you put your arms around me
And we tumble to the ground
And then you say

I think we're alone now
There doesn't seem to be anyone around
I think we're alone now
The beating of our hearts is the only sound...

So They Made Hana R A Guinea Pig. Big Deal.

I have been receiving some delicious complaints about Hana R getting too many special free outfits on Pangya Global. Cecilia R was just released earlier on the Global Server earlier this month, full of bugs and what not; however, she was not as emphasized much in regards to free event sets. I spent the past few days burning my Grand Prix tickets to get Sheep Dolls to send to Cadie to turn them into Variety Gift Box Rs. Three of them were enough to complete the uniform. That took eight Event Grand Prix go-arounds on Wiz City on my end as well as my alts.

My alt account did so well that it defeated an established World Pro by one stroke while beating my main account in terms of score. Wiz City is a course that I can only do when I have Auto Calipers and Assist on because it allows me to hit the right spots on the booster gates. In addition, hitting the power spin correctly is absolutely important because it improves my chance of my comet remaining on the green, instead of spinning out of bounds.

My alt account scored a -31, which is unheard of by my standards. Normally, I score in the mid 20's on a map like Wiz City, but to hit the 30's on my alt account, which is used as a foil to my main on VS. match play games, is proof that my alt does have use after all. My alt account is now a Pro C, while my main account is now a World Pro A. Both my accounts are still pro accounts, but that could change in two or three months' time.

Anyway, back to the complaints. Here's a sample of some of them. The names have been nixed to protect the butthurt/asspained/etc.

---

Really I hate it. I thought as we got Nuri R and Hana R "Yes, now they have to make some more clothes for Nuri" (for Your information. I like Nuri the most, so i would have been really really happy to see some more. And i Think Male clothes are really rare.)

But now we have them for some time... and what did we get?

Hana R Halloween Set

Hana R Moulin Rouge Set

And NOW Hana R Sheep Set

Where is Nuri R Halloween Set?

Where is Nuri R Santa Outfit?

And where is Nuri R Sheep Outfit?

Really Pangya i love the free outfits, but does it have to be only Hana? We got TWO New characters not one.

I know the guys are left out the most of the time, but this is sadder than sad. I would appraise if pangya would make some more for him too.

There are soo many Mangas and Animes or RPGs with lovely Male Clothes. There are Thiefs, Knights, Sorcerer, Warrior etc. etc. really look in your typical RPG Games you get really great outfits for male character. So where ist the Problem? (I Know i think i know your reason, because the most players are Male and so the favorit Charakters are the females with big Pang!.)

I dont like this dismiss from Nuri R. I dont like this dismiss from All Male Charakter. As Max had his Birthday Outfits i thought "Yay they make now clothes for all Guys it is really time for this" But i was disappointed, because this was the only male clothe for free and for the guys. (The most gacha clothes are only for female)

Really why cant you give the guys a little different Clothes as the girls? I would have liked to have Fairy Guys (Really Thinkerbell has some Guys so why cant they have such Outfits?) I would have liked santa outfits for them. Or special Agents. Or Docs. Most of all i would really like Princes and Kings. Where are the typical Male Outfits i can think of?

I know this rant ist here on the wrong side, because the maker are not here but in Korea, but i have to rant and hope i´m not the only one, and maybe... maybe this Guys here from Gamerage have a little bit Kontakt with the makers and can send some wishes. We would like to have more guy outfits.

And really i think if they would make some more for the male Charakters, we would spend money for them. (I know some of us like Kaz, Nuri or Max, so why cant they have more?) (And i think i would like to have a king to my princesses ;P Or the Punky Guy etc.)

What do you guys think about this Favoritism from Hana R and the females?

I know most of the time the newest Characters are the favorit and get most of the new Clothes (I understand really) But now we have had Nuri R and Hana R at the same time... and only hana gets good stuff.

I like her really and i like her new R, but i would have liked to see more Nuri R.

I see it coming. Now with Cecilia R Nuri R is lost and can make his place in the corner, because i cant play him at the moment, because my old Nuri ist better than him and i dont get the chance to make Nuri R Better, because i dont get Stuff for him.

---

I've made my thoughts pretty clear on this numerous times since the remodels release.
And I stand by what I've said.

The reason why females get preference, is because of the physical/sexual appeal.
Assuming that the playerbase (at least in KR, since that's who we get our content off) is mostly males, then the idea of looking at womanly jiggly-bits is going to rake in more money than ogling dudes.

Yes, there are also people who do want to see more stuff for the guys, but from what I've seen, we are in the minority there.

---

Girls = $$$$

Ceci was never popular to begin with due to her high Curve (Most Glasses are +10)

Hana R is getting the attention because they know that people will put loads of money into her. Kooh, Arin, Lucia, Spika, Nell.

Those characters will get loads of attention when their R Versions come around. I can bet a Dolfini on it....

---

End comments.

I have played this game for over a year and a half, and I have concluded that there is a core group of six characters that a majority of players prefer to play as: Hana, Kooh, Arin, Lucia, Nell and Spika. By this token, the next series of free rares will most likely come after the Kooh remodel. I would advise for the fans who are slighted by this to wait and check out the remodels for Azer, Max and Kaz. Those three should shut the frustrated female gamers on the Global server up until Kooh R comes around.

Ohio State: 2014-15 College Football Playoff National Champions

ARLINGTON, Texas – The promise of returning the Ohio State Buckeyes to national prominence was enough for Urban Meyer to end a brief coaching sabbatical back in 2011.

Three seasons later, the job is done, although the program is just getting started.

Ohio State won the inaugural College Football Playoff National Championship here Monday, defeating Oregon 42-20.

The Buckeyes overcame four turnovers thanks to the power running of Ezekiel Elliott (36 carries, 246 yards, four touchdowns), the brilliant play of quarterback Cardale Jones (16-of-23 passing for 242 yards, a passing TD and a rushing TD) and a defense that swallowed the vaunted Ducks attack, forcing six punts.

"This goes down as one of the great stories in college football history," Urban Meyer said in regards to Buckeyes' improbable championship run.

For Meyer, a 50-year-old native of Ashtabula, Ohio, this is his third national title, adding to his two at Florida (2006, 2008). He also posted non-championship undefeated seasons at Utah (2004) and Ohio State (2012).

The most remarkable thing about this team is that it arrived seemingly a year ahead of schedule, full of talented sophomores Meyer believed would form a title contender next season. OSU will certainly open the year at No. 1 in the polls and a favorite to repeat.

The dominance of these Buckeyes (14-1) opens up the question whether Meyer is college football’s top coach, a title most often given to Alabama’s Nick Saban.

It’s a subjective title that spurs debate online and through talk radio. Saban’s four national titles (three at 'Bama, one at LSU) still trumps Meyer by one.

However, these Buckeyes showed Meyer at his best, recruiting and then meshing talent into a cohesive unit, developing players to maximize their ability and finally instilling them with confidence and motivating them to victory.

Ohio State was a betting underdog in each of its past three games against Wisconsin, Alabama and Oregon. Jones, a redshirt sophomore, started the season as the third-stringer but was more than ready to step in immediately and, if anything, improve the offense when needed.

And a defense that was physical enough to go toe-to-toe with 'Bama, proved versatile enough to contain a tricky, fast-paced Oregon offense led by Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota, who played well (23-of-34 passing for 310 yards and two touchdowns) but after the game’s first drive couldn’t get the Ducks moving like they often do.

A combination of old-school, smash-mouth strength and modern spread principles make the Buckeyes offense a nightmare to prepare against. The defense is both physical and fluid. And the team just doesn’t rattle, overcoming an early season loss to Virginia Tech and running off 13 consecutive victories to give the Big Ten much-needed national credibility.

Meyer is now 142-26 overall and 37-3 in Columbus, where he coveted the chance to revitalize a program he grew up rooting for under legendary coach Woody Hayes.

He left coaching for a year to concentrate on his health and spend more time with his family. He returned, in part, because the possibilities at Ohio State were too great. He vowed to bring an SEC mentality to the Big Ten, stepping up recruiting and competitiveness.

Now he has the title to signal the return to excellence.

And who knows how many more are coming to Columbus, where he is just getting started.

North Dakota State: 2014-15 NCAA Division I FCS National Champions

FRISCO, Texas -- Carson Wentz didn't come all the way to Texas to be the quarterback for the end of North Dakota State's run of FCS championships.
Faced with that unsettling possibility, Wentz answered with a dramatic history-making drive.
Wentz ran 5 yards for the winning touchdown about a minute after Tre Roberson's 58-yard run put Illinois State ahead, and the Bison became the first team to win four straight FCS titles with a thrilling 29-27 victory Saturday.
"Right when that clock hit zero, I had so many emotions I couldn't say anything," Wentz said. "I didn't know whether to cry or to be happy. It was just unbelievable."
North Dakota State (15-1) lost a nine-point lead in the fourth quarter, but answered quickly after falling behind. RJ Urzendowski had catches of 32 and 33 yards to get the Bison in scoring range, and Wentz broke a tackle around the 5 and eased into the end zone with 37 seconds left, capping a 78-yard drive in six plays.
Roberson threw three touchdown passes, but also an interception to Esley Thorton in the final seconds trying to get the Redbirds (13-2) in field goal range in their first national title appearance.
"Like we have all year long, we fought really hard to get back in the game after some mistakes and were able to take the lead," Illinois State coach Brock Spack said. "They made some big-time plays at the end to win it. It was just very, very close."
It looked as if the Bison would finally have a disappointing trip to the professional soccer stadium north of Dallas that has become their second home when Roberson faked a handoff to 2,000-yard rusher Marshaun Coprich, went to his left and cut upfield on the midfield logo. He ran untouched to the end zone.
A failed 2-point conversion left the Redbirds with a 27-23 lead with 1:38 remaining.
Wentz hit Urzendowski on a crossing route for 32 yards on the first play of the next drive, and later unloaded the ball deep with pressure coming when Urzendowski, a freshman who had 100 yards on five catches, found the ball while safety DraShane Glass never looked back for the throw inside the 10.
Wentz scored on the next play, to the delight of yet another mostly green- and yellow-clad crowd that celebrated again about 40 miles from where Oregon and Ohio State will play for the first title in FBS' College Football Playoff National Championship Presented by AT&T on Monday night.
"The first one, I don't know. We didn't draw it up like that," said Wentz, who had 237 yards passing and a touchdown and another 87 yards on the ground. "And the second one, quite frankly, was a terrible throw. RJ made a heck of a play."
The Bison won a de facto Missouri Valley Conference title game between league co-champions that didn't play in the regular season -- the first time two teams from the same conference have played for the FCS crown.
Wentz led a rally that added a title a year after predecessor Brock Jensen set an FCS record for quarterbacks with 48 victories.
"With our guys, I never saw any doubt in their mind," said North Dakota State coach Chris Klieman, the former defensive coordinator who over for Craig Bohl after last season's title. "The way it went back and forth on this kind of stage was pretty special."
North Dakota safety Christian Dudzik had five tackles in his 61st start, believed to be a first for a Division I player, to highlight a senior class that had more national titles (four) than losses (58-3 record). Appalachian State is the only other FCS team to win three straight titles.
Wentz, already the school record-holder for yards passing in a season, threw for 237 yards and a touchdown and had 87 yards rushing.
Roberson, an Indiana transfer, had 161 yards rushing and 157 passing, while Coprich added 106 yards on the ground.
Adam Keller had three field goals for North Dakota State, breaking the FCS single-season record for kickers with 145 points before his final point-after attempt was blocked to give the Redbirds a chance to win with a field goal.
Roberson reached the 44 in the final seconds, but Thorton won a tussle for the ball on a throw over the middle. The interception was held up on review.
"Time was running out," Roberson said. "I was trying to make a play and I made a dumb throw in the middle of the field. I shouldn't have made that throw."
