ISML 2017 : Mashiro Shiina Gets Over Hump, Wins Diamond Necklace

After voting hours were extended, and after a long, extensive count, Mashiro Shiina finally got over the hump and won the 2017 International Saimoe League Diamond Necklace, defeating Kurumi Tokisaki 2811-2220. Illyasviel von Einzbern was third with 1233 votes. Rounding out the order following Match Day 6 of the 2017 ISML Diamond Period were Yukino Yukinoshita (839), Shiro (676), Taiga Aisaka (496), Megumin (444) and Kurisu Makise (380).

A relative dark horse at 25-1, Touma Kamijou won the Diamond Pendant with a 2317-2157 win over Taki Tachibana. Saitama was third with 1406 votes. Rounding out the order were Kiritsugu Emiya (829), Kazuma Satou (650), Karma Akabane (576), Edward Elric (475) and Yuzuru Otonashi (413).

In the Summer Diadem semifinals, Suzune Horikita earned the Upset of the Round with a 2440-2004 scalp of Honami Ichinose, while Karen Tendou dismissed Mordred 2417-2322. In Touhou Project action, Flandre Scarlet sailed past Sanae Kochiya 2147-1883, Marisa Kirisame smashed Kasen Ibaraki 2268-1793, Sakuya Izayoi won the closest race of the round, a 2015-2013 nailbiter over Alice Margatroid and Patchouli Knowledge thumped Yukari Yakumo 2369-1743. Finally, in a special exhibition of sisters, Kyou and Ryou Fujibayashi defeated Tsukasa and Kagami Hiiragi 2431-2261.
